Emily, this is a terrific report--and very fun to read. Your great great grandmother sounds like a character. I understand those early cars were very hard to steer!!! Working a farm is hard, but I guess it does make life easier to manage during a depression. You always have work and you always have food. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story, Emily.
